At the beginning of the class, we get 3 lines, 2 battery, 2 bulbs and find ways to make the bulb brightest and demmiest. What we did is in photos
in this photo, we draw the two graphs about the two ways. First one is the brightest way, we make the two bulbs parallel。 The second one is the dimmest way, we make the two battery parallel.
in these two photos, the professor use ohmmeter to find the resistors of the heater.
In the second photo, there are three things that we should know to find the change of Temperature . They are time, mass of water and power.
in this two photos, professor use logger pro to find the graph of temperature and time. the first one is regular , and the second one ,professor make the volt to 2times than the first one and get the graph, Shown above is the data gathered from two minutes of heating at an initial voltage, and then at double the voltage. As you can see, the increase in temperature is much more than double. The temperature change actually increased by a factor of 4. The reason for this is because if you evaluate the equation Power = Voltage * Current, and multiply Power by 2, you see that the equation becomes 2P= 2V*2I. It then becomes 2P= 4*V*I, and it becomes obvious that the factor that temperature will change by is 4.
in this photo, we find that the resistor doesn't change, so when the V=2V, the I=2I, so the change of temperature should be 4 times.
in this photo, we find the resistor in human's body and use the equation I=V/R
in this photo, we use different paths to find the work of gravity, and we find that the paths don't influence the work. the only thing that can influence the work is the distant on the direction of gravity.
in this photo, we draw one particle and its electric field. and draw the same points that have same electric field intensity form a circle.
in this photo, we find the change of voltage is kQ/r
in these photo, the professor gives us the code of Vpython, and we draw the graph to find the V of different particle.
at the end of the class, we write the difference between the plagarism and collaboration.
Conlcusion:
Today in class, we look
at electric circuits and how to properly illustrate them. We also change power
affect the inner workings of a circuit. We do experiments in gravitational and
electrical fields, and we find the relationship between accurately and work. In
addition, we find equations for calculating the electric potential difference in
an electrical field. we ran simulations depicting several points of potential
difference in an electrical field with two to three charges by using VPython. At
the end of the class, we discussed what collaborating and cheating is, since we
have a group project coming up soon.
